Billy Allen has been singing since he was a teenager in church chior. He then joined the Navy and sang with the Navy's Orchestra. He then frequented various piano bars and became more well known. Billy would describe his sound as relaxing and jazzy.

"One of a Kind" features originals and covers with rich lyrics and jazzy undertones. Just a few of the many venues Billy has performed at include Papa Jacks Restaurant and Night Club for the San Diego Harbor Club Christmas Party, Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Play It Again Sam in Las Vegas, The Autry Resort Hotel in Palm Springs, Benny Hollman orchestra at Eagles Hall.
